Data protection notice

We are pleased that you are interested in festival and have chosen to visit our website. Protecting your personal data at every stage of our collaboration is a matter of particular concern to us. We would therefore like to explain what information will be gathered during your visit to the website, and how it will be used.

1. Registrations/Booking/Reservation

If you make a reservation/booking via a Xplore website, we will store the data provided by you when making the reservation (name, address, e-mail address, booking and payment information) for the purpose of processing the booking to the festival you have booked. All of the data will be transmitted in encrypted form using state-of-the-art methods. We will store your aforementioned data for the purpose of managing your reservations.

2. Newsletter

If you did not object to the use of your e-mail address for advertising purposes when making your reservation or at a later point in time, we will store your e-mail address and use this to send you our newsletter to inform you about aur festival. We will not pass on your e-mail address to third parties. You may cancel our newsletter at any time using the link given in each edition of the newsletter. We will then delete your e-mail address from our e-mail distribution list.

3. Contact form

If you have entered data in our contact form we will use this data to communicate with you. Please do not send us any confidential data via the contact form, as this form of data transfer is not encrypted. We will not pass on your data to third parties.

4. Web analysis service Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, which are text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie concerning your usage of this website (including your IP address) is transferred to a Google server in the USA where it is stored. Google will use this information to analyse your usage of the website, to compile reports about your activities on the website and to perform additional services relating to the use of the website and the Internet. Google may pass on this information to third parties if required by law to do so or if third parties process this data on Google’s behalf. Google will never connect your IP address with other Google data. You may prevent the installation of cookies by changing your browser software settings. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner described above and for the purpose named previously. Our website uses the Google Analytics anonymising function. IP addresses are thus only stored and processed in an abbreviated form, so that it is not possible to relate data to in-dividuals. You can temporarily or permanently prevent Google Analytics from storing cookies on your computer; to do this you can download a deactivation add-on for your browser from tools.google.com

5. Protocol data

When you visit our website and every time you retrieve a file, data that your browser transfers to us is automatically stored. This data is: – Browser type – Operating system used – Referrer URL – Hostname of the accessing computer (IP address) – Date and time of the retrieval. Apart from the IP address, this is not personal data. IP addresses enable an addressing of devices on the Internet. Every computer has a distinctive IP address in the form of a defined number sequence.

6. Information, correction, deletion through the contact form

On written request, we will tell you if and which personal data we have stored about you; this will be free of charge to you – apart from postage costs. If necessary, we will correct any incorrect data on your request. You have the right at any time to revoke your consent to us using your data, in part or in full, for the future. In this case, we will delete your data. In exceptional cases, however, deletion may be subject to a statutory retention period. Please direct all communication or questions concerning the processing or usage of your data through our contact form.

7. Purchasing Tickets via Ticket Tailor

Our event ticket shop uses cookies so that we can recognise you when you return and personalise your settings and preferences. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. You can change your browser settings either to notify you when you have received a cookie, or to refuse to accept cookies. Please note that our event ticket shop may not operate efficiently if you refuse to accept cookies. We also use Google Analytics to monitor how the event ticket shop is used. Google Analytics collects information anonymously and generates reports detailing information such as the number of visits to the event ticket shop, where visitors generally came from, how long they stayed on the event ticket shop, and which pages they visited. Google Analytics places several persistent cookies on your computer’s hard drive. These do not collect any personal data. If you do not agree to this you can disable persistent cookies in your browser. This will prevent Google Analytics from logging your visits.
